“This DEED, made this 29th day of April 1905 by George E Brooks of Onslow County and State of North Carolina , of the first part, to A.B. Cox, of Onslow County and Stte of North Carolina of the second part.

WITNESSETH, That said George E. Brooks in consideration of Two Thousand 00/100 dollars to him paid by A.B. Cox, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, he bargained and sold, and by these presents does bargain, sell, and convey to said A.B. Cox and his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in Richlands Township, Onslow County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of O.B. Cox, M.B. Steed, and George E. Brooks, and others, and bounded as follows, via: Beginning at a stake on Humphry Street and running North 33 ½ (degrees) East Seven poles and three links to a stake in O.B. Cox’s line, thence with O.B. Cox’s line North 45 ¼ (degrees) West three poles and twenty links to a stake in the South West corner of O.B. Cox’s lot, thence with M.B. Steeds line South 60 (degrees) West One pole and nine links , thence with another of M.B. Steed’s lines North 28 ¾ (degrees) West twelve poles and 4 links to a stake, thence South 37 ½ (degrees) West eleven poles to Humphrey’s Street thence with Humphrey’s Street South 52 (degrees) East Fifteen poles and twenty four links to the beginning, containing three fourths of an acre more or less.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all priviliges and appurtences thereto belonging, to the said A.B. Cox his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever.

And the said George E. Brooks covenants to and with the said A.B. Cox, his heirs and assigns, and that he will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoeve.
